Construction Foreman / Site Superintendent

This is a hands on position where you will be managing a small crew on-sites across New Orleans. You will be expected to meet hard deadlines and work alongside crew when needed. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the construction process, including the tools, tasks, and roles involved.

  • Employee Management: Oversee a team on site, keep track of time sheets

  • Schedule / Deadline Adherence: Follow schedule and meet deadlines, problem solving, willingness to be hands on to ensure work is completed according to schedule.

  • Coordination: Communicate with shop and management team, attend all required site meetings, maintain a clear line of communication between general contractors / owners / architects / subcontractors and the Picardie team. Maintain thorough documentation of all communications.

  • Attending on site meetings

  • Quality Control: Ensure proper installation of product, able to read plans and blueprints, willing to be hands on to ensure quality and willingness to be hands on

  • Receiving: Coordinate with the shop and receive deliveries on site.

  • Vehicle Operation: Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Drive trucks both with and without trailers.

  • Documentation: Maintain all required documentation, including but not limited to daily reports/photos, weekly reports, meeting notes, incident reports, and condition assessments.

Required Experience

  • 5 Years of Construction Experience

  • Self-motivated and willing to work and learn in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

  • Physically lift up to 100 lbs.

  • Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.

This is a full time, permanent position. Hours are 7AM-4PM M-F, occasional overtime is expected in order to complete projects by deadline. Some Saturdays required.

Candidates must have transportation to the job sites in New Orleans.
